More territory engagements. Same consulting team.
Gradient Works takes the mechanical work out of territory delivery. Your methodology stays yours. Your consultants spend their time on segmentation, ICP and client decisions.
Before and after Gradient Works
Before
- Territory scenarios take weeks to build. Analysts are in spreadsheets until the Monday-morning client deadline.
- Senior consultants are reviewing carves over the weekend instead of selling the next engagement.
- A client asks to see a different scenario mid-presentation. The answer is always "send a revision Wednesday."
- Methodology lives in a few senior people's heads. When they leave, the firm's territory IP walks out.
- RFPs ask about AI capabilities. "We use Excel" doesn't win against firms claiming AI-augmented delivery.
After
- Scenarios generate in minutes. Deliverables are ready Friday afternoon, not Monday morning.
- Senior consultants run live scenario sessions with clients. Partners spend their time on the next sale.
- Clients pick from three credible alternatives in the meeting. Revisions happen that day.
- The firm's methodology is encoded in reusable Carve rules. New consultants apply it from their first engagement.
- The practice delivers AI-augmented territory design as a real capability, not a positioning claim.
What agencies can do with Gradient Works
Territory design
Build territory scenarios in Carve using your ICP scores and rules. Present clients with real alternatives. Revisions happen in the meeting, not on Wednesday.
ICP and segmentation
Score and cluster a client's account universe against your ICP definition. Carry those scores directly into Carve. One engagement arc: segment, then carve.
Client platform advisory
After the engagement ends, help clients run the platform themselves. Bookbuilder, Routing, and Analytics extend the engagement into an ongoing advisory relationship.
Three ways agencies work with Gradient Works
-
Use it in delivery. License Carve and Market Map for your consulting team. Run segmentation and territory work faster, explore more scenarios per engagement, and stop sending revisions two days after the client meeting.
-
Recommend it to clients. When the engagement ends, clients need to maintain what you built. Firms that recommend Gradient Works create a natural handoff and earn a referral credit without adding scope.
-
Bundle it into retainers. If your firm does ongoing RevOps work, the operational layer of the platform fits cleanly into a retainer model: dynamic books, routing, and coverage analytics. Your team configures and maintains; the platform runs the assignment work.
What our customers say
"Our consultants used to spend the first two weeks of every engagement just cleaning and structuring account data. Now that work takes hours, not weeks, and they're spending their time on what clients actually hire us for."
SVP, Business Operations
"I've carved territories the last 10 years and it's never fun. It's something I want to basically eliminate from my job. But after using Carve: I'm looking forward to doing my next one."
Head of RevOps Practice
"For a two-person team like us, we can now do things at a level and scale that would usually take a 6 or 7-person RevOps organization."
Head of Field Ops
Your methodology stays yours
Your methodology is your IP. That's what clients hire you for.
Carve executes it. Your scores, weights, and rules go in as inputs; territory scenarios come out the other side. The judgment stays with your team.
New consultants apply the firm's approach from day one. When a client pushes back on an assignment, you have a traceable answer in the room, not a revision due Wednesday.
Questions we hear from agencies
Does this replace what our consultants do?
No. Carve executes the mechanical work of territory design. Your consultants bring the methodology, the ICP frameworks, and the client judgment that clients actually pay for. Those stay yours.
How does client data work in your system?
You run Carve in your own Gradient Works workspace using the client's account data. At the end of the engagement, you export territory assignments to the client's Salesforce or HubSpot. No data sharing between clients.
Do clients need Salesforce to use Carve?
No. Carve and Market Map work with CSV inputs and HubSpot. Salesforce is only required for the operational layer — Bookbuilder, Routing, and Analytics — which clients run after the engagement ends.
What does licensing look like for a consulting firm?
Most firms start with an agency-wide license covering all client engagements. Some pass the platform cost through to clients per project. We can scope the right arrangement for how your practice bills.
How long does it take to run a first client engagement?
Most teams are running a real client scenario in Carve within a week of setup. You describe territory rules in natural language; Carve generates the scenarios.
Can we recommend Gradient Works to clients after the engagement?
Yes. Agencies can refer clients to the full platform for ongoing use. We support a partner motion for firms that want to build referral or resell revenue on top of their delivery work.
