Sales Qualified Lead (SQL)

An SQL is a type of lead that meets a set of criteria set by the sales team, indicating a greater chance of converting from prospect to paying customer. SQLs are typically outbound leads.

What's the difference between an MQL and a SQL? Usually when you hear MQLs vs SQLs, the discussion is about inbound leads vs outbound leads. MQLs are generated through marketing efforts, and are usually an inbound demo request or form fill. SQLs are generated through sales efforts, often outbound prospecting.
